Shiloh Center Adult Day Services
Coronavirus-Related Policy and Procedure
It is the goal of Shiloh Center to support the well-being and safety of our participants and staff; and to be responsive to the latest updates from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention and in alignment with all federal, state and local experts.
Procedure:
All participants shall be screened before granting admission into Shiloh Center and prior to admittance into Shiloh Center vehicle:
Shiloh staff will be taking temperatures with a non-contact infrared thermometer. Anyone with a reading of 100.0 or higher will not be permitted access and will be encouraged to contact their Primary Care Physician immediately.
A note from the PCP will be required before participant will be re-admitted.
If no elevated temperature – but the following symptoms are observed or reported:
Cough
Sneeze
Runny Nose
Participant will be required to wear a mask throughout the day.
If no elevated temperature – but the following symptoms are observed or reported:
Shortness of breath
Fatigue
Body aches
Participant will be encouraged to contact their Primary Care Physician to report. Staff will assist, if necessary or desired by participant.
In addition to routine, daily cleaning and sanitation, the following measure will be undertaken:
Sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as:
Food service counters/tables
Light switches
Door handles/knobs
Computer keyboards
Remote controls
Telephone receivers
Faucet and toilet handles
Stair railings, etc.
Daily observe and encourage participants to:
Wash hands often – for at least 20 seconds (hum “happy birthday”)
Cough/sneeze into mask, tissue or elbow
Avoid touching his/her face
Avoid shaking hands or otherwise touching other participants or staff
Avoid close contact
All Shiloh Center drivers will be supplied with hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes in order to sanitize:
Internal and external door handles
Seat belt clasps
Arm rests
Grab handles
